Since launching Tech Bytes in August 2024, we’ve been overwhelmed by our community's incredible feedback and enthusiasm. What started as a series of intimate discussions on technology, diversity, and innovation has quickly become a platform for thought-provoking dialogue and actionable insights. Each Tech Bytes event has brought together tech professionals, entrepreneurs, and advocates to explore how we can create a more inclusive future in Austin’s tech landscape.
At our latest Tech Bytes event on October 9th, 2024, we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a panel discussion on “Fostering Diversity: The Importance of Hispanic & Latino Representation in Tech.” The turnout and engagement were phenomenal, reflecting a growing desire within the community to push for meaningful change. Participants shared their experiences, challenges, and hopes for a tech industry that truly reflects the diversity of Austin. The discussion wasn’t just insightful—it was a call to action for everyone in the room.
We’ve heard you loud and clear: Tech Bytes is filling a much-needed space for these conversations. The feedback we’ve received highlights how vital it is to continue addressing the gaps in representation and access. But we’re just getting started.
